Tongariro River below Poutu Intake 2019 Recreational Releases :
Flows of 30 cubic metres per second for 6 hours will be released from Poutu Intake into the Tongariro River between 9am and 3pm on the following dates:
* Saturday 9 February, 2019
* Saturday 27 April, 2019
* Saturday 14 September 2019

| Once you have decided on Double Taper or Weight Forward and most anglers nowadays choose the latter, the next question that crops up is which line color to choose. This is another topic where the answer very much depends on who you ask and their personal experiences. Before I finally left the UK for good several years ago I often fished catch and release venues where the trout were pretty spooky. Over time like many other anglers I used lines of various colors.
